Parma, Italy

I don’t know why but there is a sense of elegance in this City.  I sent one of the photos below to one of my friends and she described it as a dreamy place. It’s name is famous for the cheese and the ham.

Parma was a fifty minute comfortable train ride from our base Bologna, and as we got here at around 1pm, the city centre was a little bit quiet and it seemed like most shops are on riposo (the Italian siesta). I was expecting lines of stalls that sells cheese and ham but Parma is not loud about it.

We enjoyed walking around the city centre as shown on my photos below. If you are travelling to Pisa and Florence why not make Parma a part of your itinerary? If you go, wear nice clothes.
